Do your rooms have private bathrooms?
Yes, each room (suite) has a bathroom dedicated to that room only.
What is your typical breakfast like?
A home-cooked breakfast with fresh ingredients is complimentary with your stay. Typically the breakfast includes some combination of the following: eggs (or egg dish), meat (sausage or bacon), pancakes, breads (with home-made toppings), fruits, granola with yogurt, juices, milk, and hot coffee or tea. Fresh local ingredients are used when possible. We serve breakfast family style at our dining room table (but can grant special request accommodations when informed at reservation time).
What amenities are included?
We like to say “we have all the comforts of a hotel in the atmosphere of a home.” We offer what would be expected at a hotel and usually more. We provide a specific list of amenities on our website. We also attempt to accommodate special requests by our guests..
Is your building handicap accessible?
Regretfully, we cannot make the facility fully wheel chair accessible. We have installed some hand rails in bathrooms where appropriate, and stairways have hand rails. Our daylight basement suite has accommodated some basic types of walkers in the past, but at the very least, a step or two is required to access the entrance.
Are pets allowed?
We allow well-behaved dogs in one unit ONLY; the Family Cabin Suite. Because it has a private entrance to the back yard, coming and going without disrupting other guests is possible. We charge a small fee for the dog.
Do you have free parking?
Yes, parking is available to the rear of the house. Parking is limited however, and bringing a second vehicle or trailer etc. would be helpful for us to know before arrival.
Do you have any rooms (suites) with more than one bed?
Yes, our Dutchman Suite and Cabin Family Suite each have a queen bed and twin beds in the sleeping area. This is helpful for families or adults traveling together and wishing to stay in the same room. Our pricing is structured to accommodate multiple bed travel as well, having a flat rate for the first two persons, and a smaller fee for each person in addition.
Do you accept children?
Yes, well-behaved children of all ages are welcome. We expect parents to be responsible for small children at all times during their stay, ensuring the child’s safety, and making sure other guests and our property are fully respected.
Is Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast on Airbnb?
No, we are not bookable on Airbnb. We are a traditional Bed and Breakfast Inn,offering much more service than the average Airbnb lodging. Innkeeper and guest interaction, complimentary home-cooked breakfast, and more professional association in the lodging world are some of the primary benefits of choosing true Bed and Breakfast over Airbnb..
